The youth steadies himself by holding the boy's head with one hand and leaning on his staff with the other. There is a third youth on the left, who stands with his back to the viewer, his head turned to the right where the kneeling boy holds one of his feet. On the far right a small, naked boy stands by to take the folded mantle.
A stool holding another mantle is positioned between him and central youth. A naked youth wearing a wreath stands facing forward on the right, folding his mantle.
